Facial Gua Sha Beauty Technique Video
Facial gua sha can promote blood circulation in the face, making the skin appear more rosy and radiant while maintaining its elasticity. The pressure used during facial gua sha should be gentle, and the duration should not be too long—ideally around 5 to 6 minutes. The following are the steps for performing facial gua sha:
1. Apply a warm towel to the face to open up the pores.
2. Afterward, apply toner to the face, then generously apply essential oil to both the face, neck, and the gua sha tool.

3. Use the gua sha tool to gently press and massage acupoints on the face to open the meridians.
4. Hold the gua sha tool and gently scrape the forehead with back-and-forth motions. Then scrape around the eyes, moving vertically along the upper and lower eye orbits. Next, scrape the cheeks from the nasolabial folds toward the temples and behind the ears, followed by scraping from the corners of the mouth to the area in front of the ears. Finally, scrape along the jawline. Repeat each motion 3 to 5 times per area.
5. Gently scrape around the lips, repeat the same process on the other side of the face. Use circular motions to scrape the neck. After finishing, wipe off the essential oil and proceed with your regular skincare routine.
Precautions: Gua sha techniques must be gentle; excessive force may stretch the skin, leading to sagging and increased wrinkles. This method is not suitable for individuals with sensitive skin, or those experiencing facial inflammation or open wounds.
