Gua Sha method for weight loss on the abdomen
Gua sha for reducing belly fat mainly works by using a gua sha tool to stimulate the abdominal area. Localized gua sha on the abdomen can promote local metabolism and facilitate fat breakdown. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Lie flat on your back, rub your hands together to warm them up, then gently massage the abdomen in a clockwise direction to relax the abdominal muscles.

2. Apply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to the abdomen.
3. Use the gua sha tool on the abdomen, specifically along both sides of the midline—the rectus abdominis muscles—scraping unidirectionally from top to bottom. Scrape each area 50–100 times until the skin turns purplish-red.
4. Then scrape the lateral rib areas, using an inward-tilting motion from the outside toward the center.
5. Finally, lightly tap the abdomen with loosely clenched fists. Avoid bathing for 2–4 days after gua sha to prevent infection.
Note: Gua sha should be performed only under the guidance of a qualified professional.
