Introduction
When wisdom teeth are inflamed, swollen, and painful, avoid spicy, stimulating, overly sweet, or very hard foods. Spicy and irritating foods should be avoided as they may stimulate the gums and worsen inflammation. Inflamed and painful wisdom teeth indicate a poor oral environment; consuming overly sweet foods should be avoided to prevent further irritation to the gums. Eating hard foods during this period may damage the gums and exacerbate the pain and swelling of the affected wisdom tooth.

When wisdom teeth are inflamed, swollen, and painful, avoid eating spicy, irritating, overly sweet, or excessively hard foods.

1. Spicy and irritating foods: Avoid consuming spicy and irritating foods such as chili peppers, pepper, and onions, as they may irritate the gums, worsen inflammation, and exacerbate pain and swelling associated with wisdom tooth inflammation.

2. Overly sweet foods: When experiencing inflamed, swollen, and painful wisdom teeth, it indicates poor oral conditions. It is advisable to avoid overly sweet foods such as glutinous rice balls and cakes, which may irritate the gums and aggravate inflammation and pain.

3. Excessively hard foods: During episodes of wisdom tooth inflammation and pain, consuming excessively hard foods like peanuts and cashews may damage the gums and intensify discomfort from the inflamed wisdom tooth.

In addition, during periods of wisdom tooth inflammation and pain, try to avoid eating heat-inducing foods such as barbecued items and mutton. Also avoid allergenic or inflammatory-triggering foods like fish and shrimp, as these may adversely affect gum tissue and hinder disease recovery.
