Introduction
Dull pain in the lower right abdomen after abortion may be due to postoperative reactions, incomplete abortion, or postoperative infection. It is recommended to seek medical attention as early as possible to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment. Additionally, it could be related to pre-existing pelvic inflammatory disease or vaginal infection, which may be exacerbated after the procedure due to decreased immunity, leading to the onset of pelvic inflammatory symptoms.

After an abortion, dull pain in the lower right abdomen may be caused by postoperative reactions, incomplete abortion, or postoperative infection. It is recommended to seek medical attention as early as possible to identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.

1. Postoperative Reaction

Under normal circumstances, women may experience mild lower abdominal discomfort after an abortion. This is actually due to reflexive uterine contractions that close off bleeding blood vessels, leading to transient oxygen deficiency in the uterus.

2. Incomplete Abortion

If the procedure fails, it may result in an incomplete abortion, leaving residual tissue inside the uterus that cannot be properly expelled. This often triggers intermittent uterine contractions, causing abdominal pain.

3. Postoperative Infection

The risk of infection after surgery is relatively high, possibly due to improper surgical procedures. If the surgical instruments are not thoroughly sterilized, infections of the uterus or vagina may easily occur, resulting in dull pain in the lower right abdomen.

In addition, pre-existing pelvic inflammatory disease or vaginal infection may also be contributing factors. After the procedure, when the body's resistance is weakened, these conditions may be exacerbated or triggered, leading to pelvic inflammation and associated symptoms.
