Introduction
Ultrasound cannot directly visualize whether the fetus has engaged into the pelvis. Ultrasound can only observe the size and condition of the fetus within the uterus. Measurements such as fetal length, head circumference, and other data can be obtained, and even the fetal sex and position may be seen. Only in cases where engagement is particularly evident might the ultrasound show a明显 lower position of the fetal head, due to the head being positioned notably low in the pelvis.

Ultrasound cannot visualize whether the fetus has engaged into the pelvis. To determine if fetal engagement has occurred, a physical examination during prenatal checkups is required.

Ultrasound can only observe the size and condition of the fetus within the uterus. It provides measurements such as fetal length and head circumference, and may even reveal the fetal sex and position. Only in cases where the fetal head is significantly descended might the ultrasound show a clearly low-lying fetal head. However, generally, fetal engagement is not assessed via ultrasound, and ultrasound reports typically do not mention engagement status.

Usually, only through manual examination by an obstetrician can it be confirmed whether the fetus has engaged. Additionally, pregnant women may experience certain sensations; if the fetus has engaged, the mother might feel a sensation of heaviness or pressure and abdominal pain. When these symptoms appear, it indicates that the baby has properly engaged into the pelvis and delivery could occur at any time, so proper preparations should be made promptly.
