Introduction
If feces cannot be expelled from the intestines due to acute enteritis, treatment may include azithromycin tablets or amoxicillin capsules. If caused by refractory constipation, treatments such as compound sodium picosulfate granules or bisacodyl enteric-coated tablets can be used, or a colectomy may be performed. If due to intestinal obstruction, medications like cefoxitin sodium for injection may be administered, or surgical procedures such as adhesion lysis may be required.

Fecal impaction in the intestine can generally be managed according to different underlying causes, including acute enteritis, refractory constipation, intestinal obstruction, and others.

1. Acute Enteritis: If caused by acute enteritis, treatment under medical guidance may involve antibiotics to eliminate inflammation. Commonly used medications include azithromycin tablets, amoxicillin capsules, and levofloxacin capsules.

2. Refractory Constipation: In cases of refractory constipation with mild severity, stimulant laxatives may be used as recommended by a physician to enhance intestinal motility and promote bowel evacuation. Common medications include compound picosulfate sodium granules and bisacodyl enteric-coated tablets. For severe intestinal dysfunction, surgical intervention such as colonic resection may be considered under medical advice.

3. Intestinal Obstruction: If caused by intestinal obstruction, antibiotic therapy under medical supervision is used to control and prevent infection. Commonly prescribed medications include cefoxitin sodium for injection, ceftriaxone sodium for injection, and ceftazidime for injection. In severe cases, surgical treatments such as adhesiolysis or bowel resection with anastomosis may be performed as directed by a physician.

In addition, intestinal polyps may also be a possible cause; treatment should follow medical advice.
