Introduction
Saline nasal irrigation is generally suitable for allergic rhinitis. Using saline to rinse the nose can usually help remove allergens attached to the nasal mucosa and dilute inhaled allergens, thereby alleviating symptoms of allergic rhinitis. However, it is important to maintain an appropriate water temperature during irrigation—avoiding water that is too hot or too cold—to prevent irritation of the nasal mucosa and worsening of discomfort.
Allergic rhinitis can generally be managed by rinsing the nose with saline solution.
