What is ovarian cyst puncture?
There are two commonly used surgical techniques for ovarian cyst puncture: one is transvaginal ultrasound-guided ovarian cyst puncture, and the other is laparoscopic ovarian cyst puncture. The procedure should be performed in a正规 hospital. Taking transvaginal ultrasound-guided ovarian cyst puncture as an example, the specific steps are as follows:
1. The patient lies supine on the examination table with a disposable sterile drape placed under the buttocks. The anesthesiologist administers general anesthesia, and the surgeon performs routine disinfection of the patient's external genitalia.
2. The doctor covers the ultrasound probe with a disposable sterile sheath and slowly inserts it into the vagina. By rotating the probe handle, the exact location of the ovarian cyst is identified under ultrasound imaging.
3. After disinfecting the puncture needle, it is inserted under ultrasound guidance into the center of the cystic mass.
4. Upon successful puncture, a syringe is attached to the other end of the needle to aspirate the fluid from within the cyst.
5. After complete aspiration of the cystic fluid, ethanol is injected into the cyst cavity for irrigation. Once the withdrawn fluid becomes clear, the puncture needle and ultrasound probe are removed, concluding the procedure.
After surgery, patients should maintain good hygiene of their private areas, washing daily with warm water to prevent bacterial infection.
