Introduction
Scalp pain occurring when hair becomes oily may be caused by allergies, seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, or other reasons, and requires symptomatic treatment. Scalp pain after oily hair might result from excessive sebum secretion, leading to local chronic inflammation and subsequent damage to hair follicles. Topical application of medications such as pimecrolimus, tacrolimus ointment, or hydrocortisone cream may be used under a doctor's guidance.

Oily hair accompanied by scalp pain may be caused by allergies, seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, or other reasons, and appropriate treatment should be administered accordingly.

1. Allergy

If shampoo containing allergens is used, it may irritate the scalp and trigger an allergic reaction, causing symptoms such as scalp pain and itching. It is recommended to immediately discontinue use and, under a doctor's guidance, take medications such as fexofenadine hydrochloride tablets, loratadine capsules, or cetirizine hydrochloride tablets.

2. Seborrheic Dermatitis

Scalp pain following oily hair may result from excessive sebum production, leading to localized chronic inflammation and subsequent damage to hair follicles. Under medical supervision, topical treatments such as pimecrolimus, tacrolimus ointment, or hydrocortisone cream may be applied.

3. Folliculitis

Folliculitis is usually caused by bacterial infection, with main symptoms including redness and inflammation of hair follicles. Under a doctor’s guidance, oral antibiotics such as cephalosporin tablets, erythromycin tablets, or amoxicillin capsules can be used for treatment.

In addition, overactive dandruff secretion may also contribute. It is advisable to avoid spicy and irritating foods in daily life, consume more fresh fruits and vegetables, and maintain good scalp hygiene.
