Introduction
It usually takes 1 to 3 months after the postpartum confinement period to resume drinking alcohol. The end of the confinement period typically refers to one month after childbirth. If an individual is in good health, has fully recovered, and is not breastfeeding, drinking alcohol may be resumed as early as one month postpartum. However, for those who are not breastfeeding but have a weaker constitution resulting in incomplete discharge of lochia, it is advisable to wait up to 3 months until the uterus, its appendages, and the endometrium have completely healed before consuming alcohol moderately.

It usually takes 1 to 3 months after the postpartum confinement period to resume drinking alcohol, depending on individual recovery. Details are as follows:

1. One month

The end of the postpartum confinement period typically refers to one month after childbirth. If a woman has good physical health, has fully recovered, and is not breastfeeding, she may generally consume alcohol one month after delivery. However, intake should be gradual and moderate; excessive drinking should be avoided.

2. Three months

If not breastfeeding and the individual has poor physical condition resulting in incomplete discharge of lochia, it is advisable to wait three months until the uterus, its appendages, and the endometrium have completely healed before consuming alcohol in moderation.

If planning to drink, it is recommended to do so only when not breastfeeding and after full physical recovery, to avoid adverse effects such as alcohol-induced dilation of capillaries around the uterus leading to complications.
