Introduction
Pre-IVF examinations include routine tests, gynecological evaluations, and male-specific assessments. For women, blood is drawn to perform complete blood count, urinalysis, liver and kidney function tests, as well as screenings for HIV, syphilis, and other infectious diseases. Additional evaluations include breast examination, cervical cancer screening, and assessment of the cervix, ovarian function, and fallopian tube patency for any abnormalities. Men are tested for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and other conditions, along with a semen analysis to evaluate sperm quality.

The examinations before undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) include routine tests, gynecological examinations, and male-specific tests.

1. Routine Tests

The female partner undergoes blood tests for complete blood count, urinalysis, liver and kidney function, cardiopulmonary function, thyroid function, as well as screening for HIV, syphilis, and other routine infectious diseases.

2. Gynecological Examination

This includes breast examination, cervical cancer screening, and assessment of menstrual cycle, cervix, ovarian function, vaginal discharge, and fallopian tube patency to detect any abnormalities.

3. Male-Specific Examination

The male partner is tested for infectious diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, and HIV. Semen analysis is also required to evaluate sperm quality and identify any abnormalities.

In addition, chromosomal testing is necessary to rule out hereditary genetic disorders. If both partners' test results are normal, they can proceed with the IVF procedure under the guidance of a qualified physician.
