Introduction
Adenomyoma of the uterus actually refers to adenomyosis. Whether sexual intercourse is permissible in cases of adenomyosis depends on the clinical symptoms. Adenomyosis is usually associated with estrogen levels in the body and generally occurs in the uterine corpus. If the adenomyosis lesion is small, patients typically do not experience significant discomfort, and sexual activity generally does not have a major impact on the condition.

Adenomyoma of the uterus actually refers to adenomyosis. Whether sexual intercourse is allowed in patients with adenomyosis depends on their clinical symptoms. The details are as follows:

1. Allowed

Adenomyosis is usually related to estrogen levels in the body and generally occurs in the uterine corpus. If the adenomyosis lesion is small, patients typically do not experience significant discomfort, and sexual activity usually does not greatly affect the condition.

2. Not recommended

If the adenomyosis lesion is large and the patient experiences obvious symptoms such as severe abdominal pain and increased menstrual bleeding, sexual intercourse is generally not advised. Otherwise, it may lead to vaginal bleeding, worsen abdominal pain, and potentially trigger infections, thereby exacerbating the condition.

For larger adenomyosis lesions, surgical treatments may be considered, such as excision of the adenomyosis lesion or endometrial resection.
