Introduction
In general, color Doppler ultrasound can more clearly monitor follicular development, thereby estimating the time of ovulation. There are two common types: transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds. It is important to avoid sexual intercourse on the day of monitoring and to clean the perineal area thoroughly with warm water. To ensure accurate results, it is recommended to undergo monitoring at a qualified medical institution.

In general, color ultrasound monitoring of follicles allows for a more intuitive assessment of follicular development, thereby enabling estimation of ovulation timing. There are two common types: transabdominal and transvaginal color ultrasound. Taking transvaginal ultrasound as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:

1. Before monitoring, the woman should empty her bladder.

2. The woman assumes the lithotomy position to expose the vaginal area.

3. The ultrasound probe is covered with a sterile protective sheath and inserted into the vagina, positioning it at the posterior fornix.

4. Ovulation is continuously monitored.

It should be noted that sexual intercourse should be avoided on the day of monitoring, and the perineal area should be cleaned thoroughly with warm water afterward. To ensure accuracy of the results, it is recommended to undergo monitoring at a qualified medical institution.
