Introduction
The iodine tincture injection method is primarily suitable for patients who are unable to cooperate with or tolerate surgical treatment. This method can destroy epithelial cells, rendering them incapable of secretion and preventing the formation of cysts. Although this approach does not eliminate the cyst, it can inhibit its growth. If the treatment outcome is unsatisfactory, it is recommended to adopt alternative treatments under a doctor's guidance.

Generally, the iodine tincture injection method is primarily suitable for patients who are unable to cooperate with or tolerate surgical treatment. The specific procedure is as follows:

1. Disinfect the cyst area using povidone-iodine or medical alcohol.

2. Use a fine needle to puncture the cyst and aspirate the cystic fluid.

3. After completely removing the fluid, inject 0.2–0.5 ml of 2% iodine tincture into the cyst cavity.

4. Leave the iodine tincture in place for 2–3 minutes, then withdraw it.

This method destroys the epithelial cells, eliminating their secretory function and preventing recurrence of the cyst. After treatment, maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the skin, and avoid spicy, greasy, or irritating foods to promote recovery. This procedure must be performed under the guidance of a qualified physician.
