Introduction
Multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) syndrome is an autosomal dominant tumor syndrome primarily caused by mutations in the MEN gene located on chromosome 11. It is characterized by parathyroid tumors, gastroenteropancreatic endocrine tumors, and pituitary tumors. Clinical manifestations include pallor, muscle weakness, bone pain, cold extremities, and impaired consciousness.

Multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome is an autosomal dominant inherited tumor syndrome, primarily caused by mutations in the MEN gene located on chromosome 11. It is typically characterized by parathyroid tumors, gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and pituitary tumors. Clinical manifestations include pallor, muscle weakness, bone pain, cold extremities, and impaired consciousness. When patients experience the above symptoms, medications such as cinacalcet hydrochloride tablets or cimetidine tablets may be prescribed under a doctor's guidance for treatment. For larger tumors, surgical interventions—such as transsphenoidal tumor resection, total pancreatectomy, or subtotal pancreatectomy—may be performed according to medical advice based on tumor location.
Currently, this condition cannot be completely cured. However, after effective treatment, most patients experience symptom relief and the progression of the disease can be halted or delayed. Patients should ensure adequate rest and maintain good daily management to support recovery.
