Introduction
Loss of appetite and feeling nauseous after eating may be caused by physiological factors, or pathological conditions such as indigestion or gastroenteritis, and can be treated through general management or medication. Excessive mental stress, profound sadness, or other emotional factors can trigger stress responses in the digestive system, leading to symptoms such as vomiting and loss of appetite.

Loss of appetite and feeling nauseous after meals may be caused by physiological factors, or by pathological conditions such as indigestion or gastroenteritis. Treatment can be achieved through general management or medication. Specific causes are as follows:

I. Physiological Factors

Emotional factors such as excessive stress or intense sadness can trigger stress responses in the digestive system, leading to symptoms like vomiting and loss of appetite. It is important to maintain a positive mental state and avoid emotional agitation.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Indigestion

If one frequently overeats or consumes large amounts of hard-to-digest food without proper dietary control, gastric motility may slow down, causing excessive food accumulation in the stomach and resulting in symptoms such as loss of appetite and nausea. Under medical guidance, medications such as lactic acid bacteria granules or micropulayzed aspergillus pancreatin tablets may be used for treatment.

2. Gastroenteritis

This condition is usually caused by edema and degeneration of the gastrointestinal mucosa, leading to insufficient absorption and breakdown of food residues, which results in gas accumulation in the intestines and symptoms such as bloating and vomiting. Under medical supervision, medications such as lactic acid bacteria tablets or rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets may be prescribed for treatment.

In addition to the above causes, conditions such as esophageal stricture, esophageal tumors, or stomach cancer may also be responsible. It is important to adjust the diet, focusing on light and easily digestible foods.
