Procedure of intraoral suturing
Generally, intraoral suturing is performed after repositioning mucosal or gingival flaps during surgery, aiming to fix the position of the mucosa and gingival flap. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. The patient sits on the dental chair with proper oral support and comfort provided to facilitate the dentist's operation.
2. Administer local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort and a pain-free experience.
3. Routinely disinfect the area requiring suturing using alcohol, then dry it with sterile gauze.
4. Pull the edges of the adjacent wound sides toward the midline. Insert the suture needle perpendicularly from the free side, entering the mucosa 2–3 mm from the wound edge and advancing through to the submucosal tissue.
5. Pass the needle through the relatively fixed opposite side, align both flap positions accurately, and tie a knot to secure them.
6. After confirming there are no abnormalities, complete the procedure.
This procedure requires professional expertise. To avoid bodily harm, it is recommended to visit a正规 hospital and have the procedure performed under the guidance of a qualified physician. Postoperatively, maintain good oral hygiene to prevent infection and promote proper healing.
