Laparoscopic procedure for varicocele
Generally, laparoscopic varicocelectomy refers to a surgical procedure for varicocele performed under laparoscopy. It is a minimally invasive surgery characterized by minimal trauma and rapid recovery. The specific steps are as follows:
1. The patient lies in the supine position and receives epidural anesthesia.
2. After anesthesia is completed, routine disinfection of the abdomen is performed, followed by draping.
3. A 1 cm incision is made at the lower edge of the umbilicus, through which a Veress needle is inserted to establish a pneumoperitoneum, and then the laparoscope is introduced and connected.
4. Two additional 1 cm incisions are made in the left and right lower abdominal quadrants for insertion of surgical instruments.
5. Under laparoscopic visualization, the dilated spermatic veins are identified and carefully dissected from surrounding arteries and the vas deferens.
6. The spermatic veins are ligated to prevent venous blood reflux.
7. After confirming no significant bleeding, the incisions are sutured and the procedure is completed.
This procedure requires specialized expertise. To avoid potential harm to the body, it is recommended to undergo the surgery at a正规 medical institution under the guidance of qualified physicians to minimize surgical risks.
