Introduction
In general, hemorrhoids are caused by prolonged sitting, pregnancy, improper diet, increased intra-abdominal pressure, anal infections, and other factors. Sitting for extended periods increases blood pressure in the pelvic and anal regions, leading to poor circulation in the lower body. This sustained pressure may cause blood stagnation in the anal veins, resulting in hemorrhoids. During pregnancy, the uterus gradually enlarges.

Generally, hemorrhoids are caused by prolonged sitting, pregnancy, improper diet, increased abdominal pressure, anal infections, and other factors. A detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Prolonged sitting: Sitting for extended periods increases blood pressure in the pelvic and anal regions, impairing lower-body circulation. This sustained pressure may lead to blood stagnation in the anal veins, resulting in hemorrhoids.

2. Pregnancy: As the uterus enlarges during pregnancy, it increases pressure on the pelvic and rectal areas, obstructing venous blood flow in the anal region and potentially leading to hemorrhoids.

3. Improper diet: Insufficient fiber intake may cause constipation. Straining excessively during bowel movements due to constipation increases intra-abdominal pressure, irritating and dilating the veins in the anal area. Repeated episodes can contribute to the development of hemorrhoids.

4. Increased abdominal pressure: Activities that increase abdominal pressure—such as lifting heavy objects, severe coughing, or excessive straining during defecation—may trigger hemorrhoids.

5. Anal infection: Infections in the anal area may gradually cause fibrosis and weakening of the elastic tissue in vein walls, leading to venous dilation and ultimately hemorrhoids.

If hemorrhoids develop, it is recommended to seek medical guidance and use medications such as Ma Yinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment or Huaijiao Pills for treatment.
