Introduction
Hypertensive patients with stiff neck may feel tension, stiffness, and soreness in the muscles at the back and sides of the neck, accompanied by a sensation of restricted movement. Sometimes, there is a feeling of heaviness or pulling, along with easy fatigability, irregular heartbeat, or rapid heartbeat. In hypertensive patients with tinnitus, excessively high blood pressure overwhelms the blood supply to the ear, affecting the function of nerves and blood vessels.

Generally, symptoms of high blood pressure include neck stiffness, tinnitus, nosebleeds, blurred vision, and irritability. If any discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly. The details are as follows:

1. Neck Stiffness

Patients with high blood pressure may experience tightness, stiffness, and soreness in the muscles at the back and sides of the neck, feeling restricted in movement. This may be accompanied by a sensation of heaviness or pulling, fatigue, irregular heartbeat, or rapid heartbeat.

2. Tinnitus

In patients with high blood pressure, elevated blood pressure can impair blood supply to the ears, affecting nerve and vascular function, resulting in ringing sounds (such as buzzing) or other abnormal noises in the ear. These sounds may be intermittent or persistent, sometimes accompanied by dizziness, lightheadedness, or unsteadiness when standing or walking.

3. Nosebleeds

High blood pressure can cause hyaline degeneration in small arteries, reducing vessel wall elasticity and increasing fragility. The nasal mucosa contains abundant and superficial blood vessels; when blood pressure fluctuates or rises, these small vessels are prone to rupture and cause bleeding.

4. Blurred Vision

When blood pressure remains elevated over a long period, it can damage the tiny blood vessels in the retina, leading to retinopathy. This causes blurred vision, which may become persistent and, in severe cases, even lead to blindness.

5. Irritability

Physical discomfort caused by high blood pressure—such as headaches, dizziness, and palpitations—can directly affect patients' quality of life and daily activities, leading to low mood and increased irritability.

Patients with high blood pressure should maintain regular作息 (daily routines), ensure sufficient sleep, and avoid staying up late. Moderate exercise, stress reduction, and maintaining emotional stability are also important.
