Introduction
The shoulder may refer to the shoulder joint. Shoulder joint pain may be related to factors such as overexertion, exposure to cold, trauma, periarthritis of the shoulder, cervical spondylosis, and others. It is recommended to use plasters such as Xue Fu Zhu Tong膏 (Blood Activating and Pain Relieving Plaster), Shang Shi Zhu Tong膏 (Trauma Pain Relieving Plaster), Xiao Tong Tie膏 (Pain Relief Patch), She Xiang Zhui Feng膏 (Musk Wind-Dispelling Plaster), or Tong Luo Qu Tong膏 (Channel-Regulating and Pain-Relieving Plaster), as directed by a physician. Prolonged heavy physical labor or vigorous exercise involving the upper limbs may cause pain.

Shoulder pain may be related to factors such as overexertion, cold exposure, trauma, shoulder periarthritis, and cervical spondylosis. It is recommended to use plasters such as blood-activating analgesic plaster, traumatic analgesic plaster, pain-relieving plaster, musk wind-dispelling plaster, or channel-collateral pain-relieving plaster under medical guidance. The analysis is as follows:

1. Overexertion: Prolonged heavy physical labor or strenuous exercise involving the upper limbs may cause excessive fatigue of the muscles surrounding the shoulder joint, thus causing shoulder pain. This usually does not require the use of plasters and typically improves with rest.

2. Cold Exposure: Local cold exposure may lead to poor circulation and muscle tension, subsequently causing pain. Usually, no specific plaster treatment is required, and keeping the area warm is sufficient.

3. Trauma: Shoulder injuries, such as fractures, dislocations, or sprains, may cause pain, swelling, deformity, and limited movement. Patients should use medications like blood-activating analgesic plaster, traumatic analgesic plaster, or pain-relieving plaster under a doctor's guidance to aid recovery.

4. Shoulder Periarthritis: Shoulder periarthritis is an inflammatory condition in which the joint capsule and surrounding soft tissues become adhered. It commonly occurs in patients around the age of 50 and mainly presents as shoulder pain, restricted movement, and even the inability to lift the arm. Patients should use medications such as musk wind-dispelling plaster, channel-collateral pain-relieving plaster, or loxoprofen sodium gel patch under medical advice.

5. Cervical Spondylosis: Cervical spondylosis may result from degenerative changes causing spinal cord and nerve root compression, which may lead to neck and shoulder pain. Patients are advised to use anti-inflammatory analgesic plasters, diclofenac diethylamine gel, musk bone-strengthening plaster, and similar medications under medical supervision to alleviate symptoms.

Before using any plasters, it is recommended to consult a professional physician or pharmacist to ensure medication safety. If discomfort or allergic reactions occur during use, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention.
