Introduction
In general, bilateral pulmonary solid nodules refer to the presence of solid nodules detected in both lungs. If the bilateral pulmonary solid nodules are considered benign and the patient has no significant symptoms, a strategy of regular follow-up observation is usually adopted. This involves periodic复查 (re-examinations) such as chest CT scans to monitor any changes in the nodules. If the nodules exhibit abnormal characteristics or symptoms, further evaluation and appropriate treatment measures are required.

When bacteria invade the lungs, they trigger an inflammatory response. Immune cells in the lungs gather at the site of infection to fight against the bacteria. During this process, exudates such as fibrin and white blood cells may appear in the inflamed area. As the inflammation progresses and healing occurs, these exudates can undergo organization, forming solid nodules.
In terms of diagnosis, doctors need to evaluate the nature of the nodules by integrating the patient's medical history, physical examination, and various auxiliary tests. Generally, nodules that are small, have smooth edges, uniform density, and show no significant changes over long-term follow-up are usually benign. Conversely, nodules that are larger, have spiculated or lobulated margins, heterogeneous density, or demonstrate rapid growth over a short period are more likely to be malignant.
