Introduction
Under normal circumstances, there are several acupoints on the top of the head, including Baihui (GV20), Sishencong (EX-HN1), Shenting (GV24), Tongtian (BL7), and Shangxing (GV23). It is advisable to shampoo regularly, use mild shampoo, and avoid excessive use of chemical products such as hair gels and waxes to reduce irritation to the scalp. During cold weather, it is recommended to wear warm items such as hats or scarves to protect the head.

Under normal circumstances, there are several acupoints on the top of the head, including Baihui (GV20), Sishencong, Shenting (GV24), Tongtian (BL7), and Shangxing (GV23). Detailed descriptions are as follows:

1. Baihui (GV20)

Baihui (GV20) is located at the center of the vertex, 5 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline, and at the midpoint of the line connecting the apexes of both ears. It is an important acupoint on the Du Meridian and a convergence point of yang energy in the body. Baihui benefits qi, elevates yang energy, calms the mind, improves mental clarity, and opens the sensory orifices. It is commonly used to treat diseases of the head and face, mental and consciousness disorders, and organ prolapse.

2. Sishencong

Sishencong consists of four acupoints located 1 cun anterior, posterior, left, and right from Baihui (GV20). These acupoints calm the mind, improve vision, and refresh the spirit. They are primarily used to treat headache, insomnia, forgetfulness, epilepsy, and eye disorders.

3. Shenting (GV24)

Shenting (GV24) is located 0.5 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline. This acupoint calms the mind and clears the brain, and is primarily used to treat epilepsy, dizziness, vertigo, and sinusitis.

4. Tongtian (BL7)

Tongtian (BL7) is located 1.5 cun anterior to Baihui (GV20). It benefits lung qi, calms the mind, and promotes the transportation of body fluids. This acupoint can be used to treat red, swollen, and painful eyes, headache, and infantile convulsions.

5. Shangxing (GV23)

Shangxing (GV23) is located 4 cun above the anterior hairline. It clears heat, removes dampness, dispels wind, and relieves nasal congestion. This acupoint is used to treat nasal disorders and head conditions, and helps alleviate symptoms such as headache and nasal obstruction.

Routinely wash the hair with a mild shampoo, avoid excessive use of chemical products such as hair gels and waxes to reduce scalp irritation. During cold weather, it is recommended to wear hats or scarves for head warmth and protection.
