Introduction
Under normal circumstances, patients with gallbladder polyps should avoid eating foods such as fried chicken, pork liver, pickled vegetables, cured meats, and cream cakes. They should also avoid medications including oseltamivir phosphate capsules, ursodeoxycholic acid tablets, Xiaoyan Lidan tablets, Longdan Xiegan pills, and cefixime granules. Patients with gallbladder polyps should avoid overeating, maintain regular eating habits, and eat meals at regular times and in appropriate quantities.

Generally, patients with gallbladder polyps should avoid eating foods such as fried chicken, pork liver, pickled vegetables, preserved meat, and cream cakes. Additionally, they should avoid medications including Oseltamivir Phosphate Capsules, Ursodeoxycholic Acid Tablets, Xiaoyan Lidan Tablets (anti-inflammatory and bile-promoting tablets), Longdan Xiegan Pills, and Cefixime Granules. Details are as follows:

I. Foods

1. Fried Chicken: Fried chicken is high in fat and cholesterol. Consumption by patients with gallbladder polyps can increase the burden on the gallbladder, stimulate gallbladder contraction, and may worsen the condition or trigger gallbladder inflammation.

2. Pork Liver: Pork liver is an animal organ containing high levels of cholesterol. Excessive cholesterol intake by patients with gallbladder polyps can increase cholesterol concentration in bile, thereby promoting the growth of gallbladder polyps.

3. Pickled Vegetables: Pickled vegetables contain large amounts of salt and nitrites. These components may stimulate gallbladder contraction and hinder recovery in patients with gallbladder polyps.

4. Preserved Pork: Preserved pork is also a pickled food high in salt and fat. Consumption by patients with gallbladder polyps may increase the burden on the gallbladder and impair recovery.

5. Cream Cake: Cream cake is high in sugar and fat. Excessive intake of sweets may lead to obesity, which is a risk factor for gallbladder polyps. Moreover, high-fat foods also increase the burden on the gallbladder.

II. Medications

1. Oseltamivir Phosphate Capsules: This medication contains elements that may stimulate excessive bile secretion by the gallbladder. Since polyp growth is related to bile secretion, excessive bile may accelerate polyp growth and worsen the condition.

2. Ursodeoxycholic Acid Tablets: Although this medication is commonly used for dissolving cholesterol gallstones by increasing bile acid secretion and concentration while lowering cholesterol levels in bile to achieve therapeutic effects, it may also cause excessive bile secretion, which could stimulate polyp growth; therefore, it should be used with caution.

3. Xiaoyan Lidan Tablets: Although this medication is suitable for symptoms such as right upper quadrant abdominal pain caused by acute or chronic cholecystitis and cholangitis, and has effects of clearing heat, removing dampness, and promoting bile flow, its components may have adverse effects on patients with gallbladder polyps and thus are not recommended.

4. Longdan Xiegan Pills: This medication contains Gentiana, a bitter and cold herb that clears excessive heat from the liver and gallbladder but may also irritate the gallbladder in patients with gallbladder polyps and worsen their condition.

5. Cefixime Granules: This medication belongs to the antibiotic class. Patients with gallbladder polyps taking it may experience intestinal flora imbalance, which affects bile metabolism and excretion and increases the risk of biliary tract infections.

Patients with gallbladder polyps should avoid overeating, maintain regular eating habits, and eat meals at regular intervals with appropriate portion sizes.
