Introduction
1. Etiological treatment: First, address the underlying ocular conditions causing visual impairment, such as keratitis, cataracts, glaucoma, uveitis, or retinal diseases. 2. Eye-rolling exercises: Prolonged near work can lead to eye fatigue; therefore, cultivating healthy visual habits is essential—eye-rolling exercises can help alleviate this fatigue. 3. Gazing into the distance: This practice helps regulate the lens of the eye.

Generally, visual acuity is assessed based on the retina’s ability to resolve images. However, even with a healthy retina, vision may decline if the cornea, lens, or vitreous body becomes cloudy—or if refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism are present. So, how can one rapidly improve vision? Below, we address this question.

How to Rapidly Improve Vision

1. Treat the Underlying Cause

First, any ocular conditions causing decreased vision—such as keratitis, cataracts, glaucoma, uveitis, or retinal disease—must be treated appropriately; successful management of these conditions often leads to improved visual acuity. Additionally, if refractive errors (e.g., myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, or presbyopia) are present, prescription eyeglasses should be fitted to optimize vision. For individuals who prefer alternatives to conventional spectacles, contact lenses or refractive surgeries—including laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) or implantation of intraocular lenses—may also significantly enhance visual function.

2. Eye-Rotation Exercises

Prolonged visual tasks often induce eye fatigue; therefore, cultivating healthy visual habits—including regular eye-rotation exercises—is essential for alleviating strain and supporting visual recovery. Specific technique: Relax your body while keeping your head still; slowly shift your gaze downward, then gradually rotate your eyes leftward, followed by upward—repeating this sequence continuously. This exercise effectively strengthens the extraocular muscles and promotes visual restoration.

3. Gazing into the Distance

Gazing at distant objects helps relax the ciliary muscle and adjust the crystalline lens, thereby relieving accommodative strain—particularly beneficial for individuals with myopia. Moreover, viewing green plants may further ease visual fatigue. Because green light has a relatively short wavelength, its focal point lies slightly anterior to the retina, producing a soothing effect on the eyes and facilitating visual recovery.

The above outlines practical approaches to rapidly improving vision. We hope this information proves helpful to you.
