When should Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets be taken?
Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets can be taken on an empty stomach or with food. It is recommended to take the medication at the same time each day to maintain stable blood drug concentrations. If persistent gastrointestinal discomfort or abnormal liver or kidney function occurs after taking the medication, medical advice should be sought promptly.

Taking the medication on an empty stomach means at least one hour before a meal or two hours after a meal, when drug absorption is not affected by food and antiviral effects can occur more quickly. This method is suitable for patients with good gastrointestinal function.
Patients with sensitive gastrointestinal systems may choose to take the medication with food, as food can reduce mucosal irritation caused by the drug. Although this might slightly delay absorption, it does not affect the overall therapeutic efficacy. Missed doses or arbitrary changes in dosing times should be avoided.
The tablet should be swallowed whole with warm water, not chewed, and the recommended dosage must be followed to avoid overdose. Maintain a light diet, avoiding greasy and irritating foods; keep regular作息 (daily routines), avoid staying up late; monitor liver and kidney function regularly; and follow the prescribed treatment course without discontinuing the medication arbitrarily.
