Introduction
The measles vaccine is a live attenuated vaccine that stimulates the body to develop immunity against the measles virus and is used to prevent measles. Adverse reactions following measles vaccination may include pain at the injection site within 24 hours post-vaccination. This typically requires no specific treatment and usually resolves spontaneously within 1–2 days. If fever exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretic medication may be administered.

The measles vaccine is a live attenuated vaccine. After administration, it stimulates the body to develop immunity against the measles virus and thereby prevents measles infection. Immediately following vaccination, some adverse reactions may occur. What are the common reactions after measles vaccination?

Reactions Following Measles Vaccination

The measles vaccine is a live attenuated vaccine that induces immunity against the measles virus and is used for measles prevention. Adverse reactions following measles vaccination may include localized pain at the injection site within 24 hours post-vaccination. This typically requires no specific treatment and usually resolves spontaneously within 1–2 days. Some individuals may experience mild fever 1–2 weeks after vaccination; this generally subsides on its own within 1–2 days and does not require treatment. If fever exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretic medication may be administered.

A transient rash may appear in a small number of children approximately one week after vaccination; this usually does not require specific treatment. However, if persistent fever, non-resolving rash, or anaphylactic shock occurs, prompt medical evaluation at a hospital is essential.

After vaccination, closely monitor your child’s condition. Avoid strenuous physical activity and ensure adequate rest. Encourage consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, and avoid spicy or irritating foods for a short period following vaccination. We hope this information is helpful to you!
