Dr. Zhang Hongxia
Methimazole is a medication used to regulate thyroid function. It may cause some degree of hepatic and renal impairment. During treatment, regular monitoring of complete blood count (CBC), liver and kidney function tests, and thyroid function tests is required. Medication type and dosage should be adjusted based on laboratory results. Alcohol consumption and spicy foods must be avoided. Engaging in aerobic breathing exercises is recommended to enhance immunity. Consume foods rich in vitamins and maintain regular bowel movements to prevent constipation.
