What should be done for Alzheimer’s disease?
Disease description:
My great-uncle’s health has declined significantly compared to before. During my last visit, he didn’t even recognize me—apparently, he’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. I’m extremely worried. What should I do?
If one develops Alzheimer’s disease, it is due to atrophy of brain cells. A head CT scan at a hospital can help confirm the diagnosis and assess whether cerebral arteriosclerosis is present. Treatment may include oral medications that promote blood circulation and resolve blood stasis. Additionally, neurotrophic agents—medications that nourish and support nerve cells—should be used in combination. Regular outdoor physical activity, along with a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, is also recommended.
