Rotavirus vaccine: Most children do not experience any reaction. A minority of children may have reactions—typically within one week after the first dose in children under 3 years of age—such as low-grade fever, decreased appetite, nausea, irritability, and reduced activity. Mild fever may also occur within one week after the second dose. Reactions are rarely observed after the third dose.
