How soon do the side effects of the rotavirus vaccine start?
Disease description:
Nowadays, children receive quite a few vaccines. Today my child received the rotavirus vaccine. To better care for the child, I would like to ask: how soon after the rotavirus vaccine do side effects typically start?

The rotavirus vaccine is primarily used to prevent rotavirus enteritis. After vaccination, some side effects may occur. These side effects usually appear within 3 days, although the exact timing may vary from person to person. In some infants and young children, adverse reactions may occur earlier, within 1 to 2 days after oral vaccination; while in a few individuals, due to individual constitution or immune status, adverse reactions might be delayed and appear 3 to 5 days or even one week later. Common side effects include systemic symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, allergic reactions, dizziness, and headache. Most of these symptoms are mild and typically resolve spontaneously within approximately 2 to 3 days without requiring special treatment. If severe side effects occur or symptoms persist for an extended period, prompt medical attention is recommended.
