Which department should I visit for infertility?
Disease description:
We’ve been trying to conceive for some time but haven’t become pregnant yet. We’re worried about possible infertility. Which department should we visit at the hospital?
For infertility or subfertility, please visit the Department of Reproductive Medicine. If your hospital does not have a Department of Reproductive Medicine, please consult the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology instead. The Department of Reproductive Medicine specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions including infertility/subfertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, male factor infertility, and reproductive endocrine disorders—such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hyperprolactinemia, amenorrhea, and menstrual irregularities. If, after evaluation and treatment—including hysterosalpingography, ovulation monitoring, and semen analysis for the male partner—infertility remains unresolved in the outpatient clinic of the Department of Reproductive Medicine, assisted reproductive technologies such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF) will also be performed within this department. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health!
