How long does it take to recover from epididymitis?
Disease description:
I’ve been diagnosed with epididymitis and am about to start treatment. My doctor mentioned that the treatment course may be relatively long. How long does it typically take to recover from epididymitis?
The duration of treatment for epididymitis depends on the severity of the patient’s condition. Generally, acute epididymitis requires approximately six weeks of treatment for full recovery. For chronic epididymitis, patients with milder symptoms who receive appropriate, sensitive antibiotics may recover in about two weeks; however, those with more severe symptoms typically require longer treatment—approximately one month—to achieve recovery.
