What to Do for Mild Heatstroke
Disease description:
I went out to play today and felt slightly dizzy—possibly due to mild heatstroke. I’d like to consult on how to manage mild heatstroke.
Individuals experiencing mild heatstroke should promptly leave the hot, heat-exposed environment and move to a cool, well-ventilated area. The patient should lie flat, and any damp or constricting clothing should be removed. The patient may also be sprayed with cool water over the entire body or wiped down with wet towels, while a fan is used to accelerate evaporation and convective cooling. Subsequently, the patient requires careful, continuous observation, including regular monitoring of body temperature. With the above interventions—along with active oral rehydration and electrolyte replacement—symptoms of mild heatstroke typically resolve.
