A fleshy mass around the anus after surgery may result from local edema or residual tissue left over from the procedure. Additionally, in severe cases, if hemorrhoidal nodules with active bleeding are excised during surgery, some residual hemorrhoidal tissue may remain incompletely removed, potentially leading to anal stenosis and thus the appearance of a fleshy mass around the anus.
