Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS) is a viral infectious disease. Most patients have a history of exposure to rodents prior to onset. Viruses carried by various rodent species invade the human body and directly damage host cells, impairing renal function and leading to hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. Following disease onset, patients typically present with fever, renal injury, and hypotensive shock. Severe cases may be life-threatening and can result in death.
