Symptoms of Chronic Keratitis
Disease description:
I have been diagnosed with chronic keratitis, yet I don’t feel any discomfort. What are the symptoms of chronic keratitis?
Symptoms of chronic keratitis include a foreign-body sensation, among others. The patient’s primary symptoms are inflammation, pain, photophobia, iris congestion, and discharge; these can impair vision, necessitating prompt prevention and proper care following the onset of chronic keratitis. Clinical signs include mixed conjunctival hyperemia of the bulbar conjunctiva, photophobia, epiphora, visual impairment, and increased ocular discharge. In severe cases, corneal inflammation may significantly affect vision and potentially lead to blindness.
