Symptoms of filamentary keratitis include foreign body sensation, tearing, and photophobia. Symptoms generally improve when the patient closes their eyes or keeps the eyeball still, but worsen upon opening the eyes, blinking, or moving the eyes. Patients often experience a pronounced foreign body sensation accompanied by varying degrees of ocular irritation, leading to eye soreness, eye pain, light sensitivity, excessive tearing, and increased粘ulent discharge.
