What are the symptoms of shoulder periarthritis?
Disease description:
The shoulder becomes extremely painful upon touch, as if suffering from shoulder periarthritis. I'd like to know what symptoms are associated with shoulder periarthritis.
The main symptom of this condition is pain. In the early stages, the pain may be mild or not obvious, but it gradually becomes more severe over time. When the shoulder is touched, the pain can become unbearable. The pain is primarily characterized by fatigue, which tends to worsen with exertion. Particularly at night, patients often experience severe pain that awakens them from sleep. This condition, known as adhesive capsulitis, mainly affects middle-aged and elderly individuals. It is a self-limiting disease, and most patients typically recover spontaneously within 6 months to 1 year. However, after recovery, many patients still experience some degree of restricted shoulder joint movement.
