Correct with glasses or surgery. For patients with strabismus combined with myopia, first correct the myopia with glasses. If the degree of strabismus decreases or disappears after wearing glasses, surgery is not necessary. After six months, any remaining uncorrected strabismus can be treated surgically. If the degree of strabismus remains unchanged after wearing glasses, surgical treatment for strabismus is often required. Patients with accommodative esotropia should wear corrective glasses full-time, with full correction.
