Can hyperthyroidism be cured? Can it be completely recovered?
Disease description:
I recently experienced unexplained hand tremors. After some research, I suspect it might be hyperthyroidism. I'd like to ask: can hyperthyroidism be cured? Can it be completely resolved?
Hyperthyroidism can generally be cured and fully recovered. Drug therapy mainly works by inhibiting the synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones. However, some patients undergoing drug treatment are prone to recurrence, which may lead to treatment failure. Patients may also choose radioactive iodine-131 therapy or surgical treatment. These two approaches are invasive treatments and offer a higher likelihood of cure.
