I've been suffering from adnexitis for a long time and have taken quite a few medications, but the results aren't obvious. I'd like to try alternative treatment methods and would like to know what treatment options are available for adnexitis.

Common treatments for adnexitis include medication and surgical interventions. When the condition is mild, drug therapy may be used. Commonly prescribed medications include antibiotics such as azithromycin and cefixime, which help eliminate pathogens and reduce infection. If abdominal pain is severe, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen may be combined to relieve pain. In more severe cases, surgical procedures such as laparoscopic surgery or laparoscopic percutaneous drainage can be performed to remove infected foci and control the disease progression.
