Testicular pain may be caused by orchitis or epididymitis, possibly due to tuberculosis, or could result from testicular trauma. Orchitis or epididymitis can lead to testicular pain, usually on one side, accompanied by redness, swelling, and tenderness. Tuberculosis of the testis is often referred to as a cold abscess, with relatively dull pain and less obvious swelling. Testicular trauma and hematoma, for various reasons, can also cause testicular pain.
