What should I do about thin uterine lining?
Disease description:
During a pre-pregnancy checkup, I found out that my endometrium is thin. Will this affect my ability to get pregnant? What should I do about a thin endometrium?
Patients with thin endometrium can be treated with medication. Women who wish to conceive may, under medical guidance, take aspirin to improve uterine artery blood flow and increase endometrial thickness, along with estrogen supplementation to promote endometrial growth. If the thin endometrium is due to endometrial damage following induced abortion, a hysteroscopy should be performed 3–7 days after menstruation ends. During the procedure, adhesions in the endometrium are gradually separated under hysteroscopic guidance, followed by insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD) to prevent re-adhesion.
