Chronic keratitis generally presents with symptoms such as foreign body sensation or stabbing pain. Additionally, there is mixed conjunctival congestion, along with photophobia, visual impairment, and increased secretions. If adjacent tissues of the cornea become infected, inflammation may spread, increasing the risk of developing chronic keratitis. Without prompt treatment, complications such as iridocyclitis and corneal perforation may occur; therefore, it is recommended to seek ophthalmic evaluation and treatment at a hospital as soon as possible.
