How should keratitis be treated?

I usually like to wear colored contact lenses, but sometimes when I'm too tired at night, I forget to take them off, which led to me developing keratitis. Could you please advise how keratitis should be treated?

The treatment of keratitis depends on the specific condition. For patients with bacterial infection, eye drops may be used. If keratitis is caused by autoimmune diseases, such as immunodeficiency or autoimmune diabetes, the triggering factors cannot be completely eliminated; therefore, drug therapy or surgical treatment is required, along with management of the underlying disease.
