Why does menstrual cramp cause thigh pain?
Disease description:
This morning, I suddenly experienced pain in the groin area of my thigh. Today is the second day of my menstrual period, and I suspect it's due to menstrual cramps. I'd like to know why menstrual cramps can cause thigh pain.
Menstrual thigh pain may be reflexive pain caused by chronic inflammation with repeated stimulation of the uterine cavity. Dysmenorrhea occurs due to increased synthesis of prostaglandins in the endometrium, manifesting as lower back pain and pain in the upper thighs. Secondary dysmenorrhea appears only during menstruation and is mostly associated with organic lesions. After menstruation, it's best to avoid intense physical exercise or heavy labor, primarily to prevent physical fatigue.
