What should I do about transient synovitis of the hip joint?
Disease description:
Suddenly developed a fever along with hip joint pain. After consulting a doctor, it was diagnosed as transient synovitis of the hip. Want to know how to manage transient synovitis of the hip?
Transient synovitis of the hip can be treated with traction therapy. It may also be managed under medical guidance with anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications such as Celebrex (celecoxib) capsules and amoxicillin capsules. Patients should keep the hip joint warm and avoid catching a cold, as synovial inflammation can easily worsen. In a minority of cases where the condition recurs or shows poor response to treatment, further evaluation is needed to rule out conditions such as rheumatism, gout, or synovial chondromatosis, possibly using MRI imaging.
