The balloon placed during surgery for intrauterine adhesions can be removed after 24 hours. The main purpose of placing a balloon after intrauterine adhesion treatment is to prevent re-adhesion within the uterine cavity. Placement of a balloon in the uterine cavity is generally not recommended for more than 24 hours. Continuous bleeding and vital signs should be closely monitored. If bleeding persists, alternative hemostatic methods should be used. Typically, the balloon used for uterine bleeding is deflated after 48 hours, although the timing may vary depending on individual circumstances.
