What are the symptoms of intrauterine adhesions?
Disease description:
I went to the hospital for a medical checkup and was diagnosed with intrauterine adhesions, but I hadn't noticed any symptoms before. What symptoms does intrauterine adhesion cause in the body?
Patients with intrauterine adhesions typically experience symptoms such as reduced menstrual flow and dysmenorrhea. Additionally, during the reproductive years, intrauterine adhesions can lead to abnormal uterine cavity shape and loss of endometrium, resulting in infertility. If the extent of adhesion is limited and the severity mild, normal pregnancy may still be possible. However, during pregnancy, incomplete endometrium may adversely affect fetal development, potentially leading to embryonic arrest, placental attachment abnormalities, placenta accreta, or placenta previa.
